Following Jesus Ep 75. Luke 15 If you are consumed in sin the devil wants you to believe that the father won't forgive you. If he can convince you that the father won't forgive you then you will not go to the father. This will result in you not receiving forgiveness and being damned. Not because the father is unforgiving, but because the prerequisite of his forgiveness is repentance and returning to him which the devil would have succeeded in convincing you that you're too sinful to be able to do. The only sin that is not forgiven is blasphemy. The only unforgiven willful sin of a child of God is the rejection of Christ. This is because that particular sin is self inflicted damnation. It does not reflect God's mercy, as his mercy was abandoned in such cases. Most likely, neither of these refer to you. Therefore, understand that if you are a child of God; added to the body by the mercy of his spirit, God welcomes you to repent for your redemption through the blood of our mediator Christ Jesus. We as your brothers should welcome you with open arms. Every time the lord shows his mercy to our brothers and sisters, it's just a reflection of how much he loves us. This is because in him there is no bias. Whatever he does for one serves as an example of what he will do for all. In that, we rejoice when our brothers are forgiven, knowing that the mercy of Christ towards our brothers that fall and repent is the same mercy that will pick us up should we end up in the same circumstances. Nothing the lord has done for another should be compared in a way that assumes we have been short-changed by the father. If our brothers in the body increase, we increase also. All increase in the body of Christ contributes to our mutual goal; the reconciliation to the body of those who have left the body of Christ, and the addition to the body of those not in the body of Christ.
