Have you been cut off? Have you cut someone off? Were you justified in doing so? Or are you actually causing more harm than good? Is it ok to hang around sinners? Do you form "clicks" that include only the most prominent of Christians? Jesus calls us the light of the world and Paul calls us ambassadors for Christ. What purpose does a light serve where there is no darkness? And what use does an ambassador have if he refuses to leave his own country due to his inflated ego? If we cannot handle the presence of a person that is not a threat to our salvation it presents a lack of long-suffering and meekness within ourselves and dims the effectiveness of our light. For this cause we should rather pray for more meekness that whoever we deal with may be edified and even be inspired by our long-suffering towards them, thereby spreading our light. We are in the world but not of the world. Jesus sat with sinners but as a light, not as a partaker of their deeds. If you find yourself becoming a partaker of the deeds of those around you, you must separate yourself because the darkness has now become a light to you. Why are brothers who claim to have the spirit and love of God unable to receive correction or give correction toanother brother? Whoever you choose to be around, consider yourself.
