Today we have a 2019 Ram 1500 and we're gonna be doing a test fir on the Westin custom fit truck bed mat which is part number 50-6205. Now when you first get your mat in the mail or if it's shipped to you it's gonna be rolled up like this, be packaged up and saran wrapped up and in a baggie. What I want to let you know is that when you first roll it out whether you want to put it in your truck right away or if you want to roll that out on the concrete, take a quick look at it, it's going to be a little bit warped just from being rolled up for so long. Once you let it sit in the sun, the sun is gonna heat up the rubber and that's gonna make it form to whatever surface it's on.So let's go ahead and put it in place. You see that the back is right here, you can tell because of this little backwards L right there that's gonna fit in the back corner of the truck bed. So we're just gonna put it out like this and actually it's easiest if you're just up here already then you can just pull it out like this. Once you get it all the way rolled out just pull it like this. I'll go ahead and climb out of here, I'm gonna step over it. I'm gonna just flatten it out wherever it needs to go.I always like to pull it back to match the corners right there because more times than not I'm gonna be putting stuff on the back of my truck bed. I want to come up here, there we go. And like I said you see the bend or the bow in the mat once it's in the heat for a little bit it's gonna flatten out. But this truck bed mat is custom fit to fit your five and a half foot truck bed on your Ram. It's gonna match the contours and the shape of our truck bed from the back all the way up on the wheel wells right here and even up to the front. It's got a very thick rubber construction to it, when you see it's gonna be really thick, it's gonna absorb any impact, it's gonna help protect the bed of your truck from any type of scratches or dings.At the end of the day if you just want to toss your tools in the bed of your truck, go right ahead because it's gonna absorb that shock and protect your truck bed. It's also gonna be pretty slip resistant meaning that if you don't have this in you just have this naked truck bed and you put your coolers and your tool boxes in the back, they could slide around if you all of a sudden have to make a stop or accelerate suddenly. With this rubber material it's gonna be very slip resistant so if you put your coolers, tool boxes in the back, it's not gonna slide around and tip over and spill everywhere because it's gonna be able to stay in place.On the back side we're gonna have this rugged ... pull this up. This rugged material you can see which is gonna be the placement style for this as it's gonna hep it stay put on our truck bed floor. You can see I'm trying to pull it around even if I grab a hold of it and try to pull it, I have to pull pretty hard for it to move at all. Cleaning is also gonna be a breeze. You can just take a power washer or a hose just spray it down after you use it, some days where you might be hauling mulch or dirt or gravel could leave some marks but power washer hose is gonna get that right off.
