In a medium bowl, combine the corn tortilla flour and water, mixing with your hands until the mixture reaches a playdough-like consistency. 2. Cover the masa and let it rest for 20-30 minutes. 3. Divide the masa into 8-10 equal balls. 4. Using a tortilla press (or a rolling pin), flatten each ball between parchment paper. 5. Heat a comal or skillet over medium-high heat. 6. Cook each tortilla for about 1 minute on each side until lightly browned. Enjoy fresh or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days! I am adding suggestions from a subscriber to take these corn tortillas to the next level. Thank you! {Using boiling liquid is ideal. Or near boiling liquid. I typically use veg stock that I make from cooking scraps. It is tricky to handle, but the steam in the mix process helps assure that your tortillas will puff when you cook them. (Mix with the handle of a wooden spoon first, until it is just cool enough to finish the mix with your hand)} Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell icon for more delicious recipes!
