Method for Preparing Cottage Cheese–Pumpkin Casserole Ingredients: Cheesecake layer: • Cottage cheese (quark) — 540 g • Sour cream — 90 g • Sugar — 100 g • A pinch of salt • Vanilla sugar — 5 g • Eggs — 2 • Cornstarch — 25 g Pumpkin layer: • Pumpkin purée — 600 g • Sugar — 80 g • A pinch of cinnamon • Zest of 1 orange • Eggs — 2 • Cornstarch — 25 g Preparing the ingredients: 1.Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and cut it into cubes or pieces. 2.Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve or mash it well with a fork so there are no large lumps. 3.Wash the orange thoroughly and grate the zest, using only the colored outer layer and avoiding the white bitter part. Preparation: 1.Pumpkin purée: -Boil or bake the prepared pumpkin until soft (about 10–15 minutes). -Drain off any excess liquid and blend the pumpkin until smooth. 2.Cottage cheese mixture: -In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, sour cream, sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla sugar. -Add the eggs and cornstarch. -Whisk well until smooth and lump-free. 3.Pumpkin mixture: -In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin purée, sugar, a pinch of cinnamon, and the orange zest. -Add the eggs and cornstarch and whisk thoroughly. 4.Assembling the casserole: -Pour the cottage cheese mixture into the baking dish first, then add the pumpkin mixture on top. -Alternatively, you can alternate the layers (adding two tablespoons of each mixture at a time) to create a two-tone effect. -You may gently run a knife through the surface to create a marble pattern. 5.Baking: -Preheat the oven to 180°C. -Bake the casserole for 40–45 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and the center is set. 6.Cooling: -Let the casserole cool slightly in the pan, then carefully transfer it to a plate. -Serve warm or chilled. #pumpkincasserole #cottagecheesedessert #pumpkindessert #autumndessert #fallbaking #homemadedessert #pumpkinrecipe #bakedrecipe #healthydessert #comfortfood #foodtok #foodyoutube
