The Maritimes: Biking to the Atlantic Ocean | Cycling Solo Across Canada, Ep.27

In this episode, I ride across the provinces of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island (PEI), and Nova Scotia. In New Brunswick, I am "greeted" by multiple dogs who chase me as I ride on calm roads - some get very aggressive. I meet up with Kasia and Szymon of Rydy.n.Lok and ride across the world's longest covered bridge in Hartland. When I make it to the coast, to the Atlantic Ocean, I am overwhelmed by how far I've come. It dawns on me that I rode coast to coast across Canada, on my BICYCLE! I experience immense feelings of accomplishment and gratitude for having come this far. I take the shuttle across the Confederation Bridge and spend two days on the beautiful Island of PEI. The red sand and stunning views slow me down, but that's what this trip was about, seeing as much of this beautiful country as possible, so I take multiple excursions and explore the stunning natural landscapes of PEI. In Woods Island, I take the ferry to Nova Scotia. I'm tracking the weather and it's not looking very good. A storm, which is now a hurricane, Hurricane Fiona is approaching and I have to make a decision. Do I ride to Halifax and finish the trip, or do I continue to Newfoundland?
