South Downs 50km Ultramarathon (Maverick Race, Adidas Terrex X Series)

The South Downs 50km is a race put on by Maverick Race as part of their Adidas Terrex X series. Hosted at the Goodwood Racecourse in Chichester, South England, runners get a choice of four routes including the 51km ultra, the 43km long, the 25km middle, and the 15km short. I, along with 140 other runners, opted for the ultra route. Having booked this a few days before the race took place, I didn't really know what to expect but I was excited to again put on my trail shoes and explore some of the South Downs finest trails and hills.
