Back to Europe for Round 3 in the WEC-Xperience Championship. 100 minutes around the iconic Imola Circuit in the Romagna region of northern Italy. As always, in the trusted BMW M4 LMGT3. Starting towards the back of the grid after a mediocre qualifying session gave me some work to do. It was a mixed class race, which always adds a bit of excitement. This race had an embarrassing moment where I misjudged the position of a car passing me and I moved my inside wheels onto the grass. This caused a spin which took me into the passing car taking us both of the circuit. I got a penalty for 'Causing a collision', which cost me a 25 point reduction in the championship. Other than that the race was incident free, with me finishing 4th. And yes, the car I hit finished ahead of me in 3rd. Expecting a penalty, I decided to do a second run (maximum two attempts).
