This latest video shows my build of the Halberstadt D.II. This is a multi-media kit, comprised of cast and 3D-printed resin parts, as well as a fret of PE parts. A small piece of clear film allows for a windscreen to be added in and some wire is included for attaching the interplane struts to the wings. The transfers accompanying the kit are good and three colour scheme options are offered. Many of these aircraft were operational during 1916, at a stage prior to the more well-known Jasta fighter units being establish. They initially flew with FFAs (Feldfliegerabteilung) and as such, many appear not to have had much, if anything, in the way of identification codes, numerals or serial numbers; being a Halberstadt design, this is not unusual and the company was known not to comply with the Idflieg (Inspekteur der Fliegertruppe) regulation of applying serial numbers to the fuselages of aircraft that the company built, be that their own designs or licence-building of other companies' designs. As such, I have given this model a more generic colour scheme finish, although some aircraft were camouflaged, for example, those operating in Macedonia. The kit is challenging, but definitely lighter than my two previous WW1 kits from this company, which are seaplanes and therefore, the floats were blocks of cast resin. I hope you like this model, and thanks for taking time to look in. _____________ All materials used in the completion of this model were purchased using my own funds, and I have not been sponsored to undertake this work. _____________ All music tracks included in the video are from Epidemic sound, and are: Alteration - Karoliina Gabel & Christoffer Moe Ditlevsen Imaginators - Jay Varton We All Die Young - Hampus Naeselius Confidentiality - Dream Cave The Girl from North - Magnus Ludvigsson Conspiracy - Alec Slayne The Final Act - Howard Harper-Barnes Ragnarok - Edgar Hopp This video was made using Filmora 11 (video, photo & transitions) and Capcut (voiceover).
