Religion Other religions have associated kesh/hair with importance and religiousness such as Christianity, who had holy warriors such as Samson who had kept his kesh/hair as it stored his powers. However, upon being cut, he had lost all of his powers. Within Islam, kesh/hair is symbolic of life and growth and is emphasised to keep good care of kesh/hair. In the Judaism, kesh/hair is recognised for it’s spiritual powers, with specific reference to the head which is associated with intellect. A sect within Hinduism keeps dreadlocks which symbolises spiritualism, letting go of material possessions and disregarding vanity. whereby Hindu figures such as Shiv Jee was described to have long uncut dreadlocks. Within the Victorian era, there was also an appreciation of kesh/hair whereby across the world, unshorn kesh/hair was associated with beauty and royalty, which was accompanied with religious attire. Those that had cut kesh/hair were identified as criminals and slaves so they were easily identifiable from the population. Widows had their kesh/hair shaved to make them ugly so that they could no re-marry. Today, society has shifted and now voluntarily cut their kesh/hair for reasons of beauty and vanity. https://www.sikhitothemax.org/search?... https://www.gurmatbibek.com/contents.... #powerofkesh #powerofhair #hairisthefirstlineofdefence #hairabsorbsimpacttothebody #hairhelpsfightdiseases #hairhelpswithmentalhealth #hairisbeautiful #hairisspiritual
