Phoowey, Lethal difficulty is no joke...this game hasn't had me sweating like this in quite a while! Like a lot of other tryhards, I think I'm very happy with all the madness that Lethal throws at you except for one little gamechanging mechanic - Tight Formation. Not only does it actively work against frontline (e.g. assault) and backline (e.g. sniper) classes from working together by preventing armour generation when far apart, it doesn't even match its description, disabling all armour generation mechanics, not just executions, except for the 25s timer and Bulwark's Banner. Being closer to your teammate doesn't mean more teamwork, especially when it's forcing classes out of their ideal ranges. Hopefully this mechanic gets reworked or removed, because the rest of Lethal difficulty has been an absolute blast - they've avoided buffing minoris and majoris health so weapon breakpoints are intact, instead increasing the spawns, with Extremis packs being particular highlights - there's nothing quite as thrilling as facing 3 Lictors at once and coming out on top. With more Majoris and Extremis on the battlefield than ever, Snipers have never been more in demand, able to reach out and remove threats quickly before they can overwhelm the team. While Tight Formation hurts Snipers somewhat, Snipers can rely on their cloak rather than their armour to stay safe, leaving your 2 teammates to push up together and maintain cohesion. I've also dropped EFFICIENT READINESS for RENEWAL - while Efficient Readiness is great for keeping those headshots going, it also currently interrupts the hit count on Reloaded Restoration, the weapon perk that's crucial for maintaining ammo reserves.
