Feb 20, 2026 While I was in Folsom to get my bike tire fixed, I decided to get some videos here of Sutter St and while riding the train here myself, the train stopped before the crossing and waited until it activated and also the wayside aspect to change yellow and proceed into the station. At first I thought while riding that this was the usual function where sometimes the Folsom crossing mainly ones around approaching crossing into stations and around switches for traffic priority however SACRT reduced this function to almost never because they rather not have trains. wait, however, this is not the case. It appears that SACRT for some reason set this crossing to always have outbound trains stop and wait for the activation likely because something isn't functioning properly and a temporary fix is to have the crossing set like this to have all trains stop and wait for the activation. It also took a while to activate at different times for each train. Note, this is always normal here for inbound trains but not normal for all outbound trains to have to stop first. There is always something not functioning properly on the Folsom section of the Gold Line. Every time I turn around, there is a bus bridge out for this section because something is not functioning properly. Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains on the SACRT Gold Line pass through the Sutter Street railroad crossing arriving and departing the Historic Folsom/Sutter Street Station in Folsom, California. Every train that came, a dump truck also came with the first one getting into my view. When there was no train here, there were no trucks. The 2020s decade has bad things constantly like this and it's annoying and one of the things I dislike about this era. It's like this era makes sure to make you mad.
