Exploring Michigan, Laughing Whitefish Falls, Scenic Site Trail

Laughing Whitefish Falls is considered by many to be the most spectacular of Michigan's falls. The falls cascade through a picturesque gorge with old growth white pine and hemlock towering above. The falls can be reached by a moderate (.5 mile) hike through beech-maple forest. This was the final stop on our fall color tour in the UP, but it was to be one of the best stops that we made! The colors were stunning during the short walk that led up to the waterfall. We had seen a few on our trip and loved each one for the unique display. This one just hit differently. The cascade was a sight to behold and I'm glad I can share that here with you and the future forever more. I'm a bit sad at how this footage came out. The rain was fresh on the leaves and the lighting was refracting from every angle. I hadn't realized how terrible the shots would look with this lighting, but in my opinion I've learned something valuable. Either I'll be adjusting the Kalvin or changing the color format on the GoPro for future wet walks.
