Video: KOFTA KEBAB RECIPE: How To Make Egyptian Kofta Kebabs | Mince Kebabs Explore this Egyptian Cuisine with me as we make the Traditional Egyptian Kofta. Kofta is a Middle Eastern dish made from ground lamb or beef mixed with onions, garlic, and spices. The meat mixture is shaped into balls, patties or logs, and then grilled and served with pita, salads, dips, and sauces. Egyptian Kofta Kebabs recipe Ingredients: Ground beef 80% lean 1 onion (grated) 3 garlic cloves Fresh parsley 2 tbsp cumin 1 tbsp coriander 1 tbsp salt Black pepper for taste 1 tbsp of cinnamon 2 tbsp of tomato sauce 1 Tbsp paprika 1 tbsp 7 spices Method: 1. Start by grating 1 onion and drain excess water 2. Reserve the onion to use later 3. In a mixing bowl add ground beef, onions, garlic, fresh parsley, tomato sauce and all spices. 4. Mix together with your hand until evenly combined. 5. Start to shape your koftas kebabs by taking a fistful portion of the meat mixture and start to mold it on a wooden skewer. Pat the kofta with the onion water for extra flavor. Remember to leave you wooden skewers in water overnight. 6. Place them on a tray 7. Grill koftas in the oven or on the grill. 15 minutes 8. Baste before removing them from the grill 9. Place all koftas in a foil dish and place butter in the middle and place 1 burning coal inside the butter. Close the foil dish with a foil. For 5 minutes. This is going to smoke them nicely. Serve with Wraps, Green salad, Avocado, Olive paste , Tzatziki sauce and Hummus.
