Today we are making a pan of Southern cornbread dressing that will make your taste buds do a little dance. Thanksgiving is just around the corner so make your life simple by whipping up a pan of this and popping it in your freezer so that you will have more time to do other things like celebrating with your family on the day of Thanksgiving! Don’t forget to tell me what you were thankful for and tell me what some of your favorite sides are that you serve with your Thanksgiving meals. Dressing Recipe: 2 packs of cornbread mix 4 slices of toasted bread 1 can Cream of Chicken soup 3-4 eggs 1 box (4 cups) of Chicken Broth 1 TBSP poultry seasoning 1 TBSP Cavendars Greek seasoning 1 small chopped onion 2 stalks of chopped celery 1 stick of butter Cook your cornbread according to the directions on the package. Toast 4 pieces of bread. Melt butter in a pan and add the chopped onions and celery. Cook until they are softened. Add in your can of soup and 2 cups of your broth. Let simmer for 20 minutes or until the celery and onions are translucent. In a large bowl, crumble your toast and cornbread, add in your seasoning and your eggs. Once your butter and soup mixture has cooled at it in with your cornbread and mix well. Add chicken broth a little at a time until it reaches a consistency that is pretty thin (if you like it moist and fluffy). Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you freeze this ahead of time, then take it out of the freezer and place it into your refrigerator. The night before you are ready to bake it. The day that you are ready to bake it let it sit out for about an hour before you place it into the oven. Bake it for 1 hour or 1 hour and 15 minutes or until it has browned on the top! You can also cook this on low in your crockpot all day if you prefer! I left mine served with cranberry sauce and brown gravy! Enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by my page. I hope you will like and subscribe and share this recipe with any of your friends that you think may be interested. 💕 #south #cornbreaddressing #cornbreadrecipe #thanksgiving
