This IgG4ward! Caregiver’s Conversation, recorded live on December 12, 2025, focuses on the emotional and mental health realities of living with—and caring for someone with—IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD). Led by a caregiver, this conversation brings together lived experience, mental health expertise, and peer perspective to explore how stress, trauma, emotional regulation, self-preservation, and peer support show up across the IgG4-RD journey. The conversation is led by Katharine Provencher, Director of Advocacy & Community Engagement at the IgG4ward! Foundation, caregiver, and clinical social worker. She is joined by Julie Wells, Director of Strategic Relationships at Give an Hour, and IgG4ward! Mental Health Patient Ambassadors Andy and Kim. This webinar also features selected clips from Julie Wells’ breakout session at the IgG4ward! PeachJAM, a patient-facing event held in September in Atlanta, Georgia. Julie’s full breakout session is available as part of the IgG4ward! PeachJAM Video Series. Topics include: - Chronic stress and medical trauma - How trauma can live in the body - Emotional regulation as a practice - Self-preservation versus self-care - The role of peer support in rare disease This conversation is intended for patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and partners across the global IgG4-RD and rare disease communities. © 2025 IgG4ward!
