About the facilitator Kavya Viswanathan is a Creative Arts Therapist (NY), registered Dance/Movement Therapist, yoga teacher, and erstwhile performer. Her journey began in the studio and on stage, where she explored dance as a medium of empowerment and community through Martiya, her dance school and company. She is recognized as one of the first to introduce bellydance in India as a tool for body positivity and wellness. Today, Kavya works across hospitals, classrooms, and community spaces in the United States. She blends clinical expertise with Indian philosophical traditions to create spaces where movement, creativity, and breath become tools for healing.
