Strawberry dump cake with cake mix and pie filling is amazing! This 3 ingredient cobbler is super easy to make and delicious to eat because, as the name suggests, all you have to do is "dump" the ingredients into a 9x13 baking dish. By adding a few optional ingredients to the canned pie filling, you can take this strawberry cobbler to the next level. In addition to the delicious flavor and awesome texture, the filling has a bright red color, making this the perfect dessert for the 4th of July, Canada Day, a summer picnic, or other event. If you are looking for an easy dump cake cobbler that's perfect for beginner cooks or people who need to feed a crowd quickly, this recipe is for you. The first step in making a strawberry dump cake is adding the pie filling to the baking dish. Since this type of cobbler is called a dump cake, I opened the cans, “dumped” out the filling, and then spread out the pie filling with a spatula. Although the original strawberry dump cake recipe has 3 ingredients, I decided to add my own personal touch to take this to the next level. Lemon really brings out berry flavors, so I added 2 Tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of strawberry extract. I drizzled them over the filling and then mixed them in slightly before moving on to the next part of the recipe. The second step in making a strawberry dump cake with cake mix is adding the cake mix. Instead of a traditional crust, this cobbler has a cake mix crumble on top of the pie filling. Just like with the pie filling, all I had to do was open the box and dump the cake mix over the pie filling as evenly as possible. I used white cake mix, and I recommend using either white or yellow since those flavors are the most neutral. However, I think that strawberry cake mix would be interesting in this recipe, as would lemon and chocolate. If you experiment a bit, let me know! After spreading out the cake mix with a spoon, it was time to add the butter. I took 2 sticks of butter and cut them into pads as thinly as possible. When you do this, make sure that the butter is cold and that your knife is sharp; otherwise, this part of the recipe will be extremely difficult. As I cut the butter, I began placing the pads on top of the dump cake, trying to spread them out as evenly as possible. I used all but 2 Tablespoons of 1 stick, so this was definitely very buttery. Once all the butter was on top of the cake mix, the cobbler was ready for the oven. I was really excited to try this strawberry dump cake with cake mix, and when I took the first bite, I was pleasantly surprised. Although I think that dump cakes are usually on the sweet side and don’t have as much fruit flavor as traditional cobblers, this strawberry version was actually pretty good; honestly, I was surprised by how much I liked it. I think that the lemon juice was what really made it good, so don’t forget it. Like I said, this strawberry cobbler with cake mix and pie filling was easy to make. In addition to the flavors and textures, I loved the bright red color of the filling, too. If you’re looking for an easy dump cake recipe, be sure to try this one. 🍓🍰🥧🍋🧈👨🍳 Strawberry Dump Cake with Cake Mix Recipe 2 21 oz cans strawberry pie filling 1 15.25 oz box white cake mix 2 sticks unsalted butter (113g each stick) 2 Tablespoons lemon juice optional: 1 teaspoon strawberry extract Recipe on my Website: https://parnellthechef.com/strawberry...
