A new client approached me and asked me to trim a beech hedge that had grown quite large. I chose a day for the job and arrived at the appointed time, but it was a bit windy that day, even though the weather forecast had predicted sunshine. However, I decided that the wind would not interfere with my work, especially since no rain was expected, so I started working. As always, I started trimming the hedge on both sides. The hedge was a little over 40 meters long. After both sides were trimmed, I started trimming the top. Over time, the wind picked up, sometimes rocking me on the ladder so much that I thought I would be blown away, but the tall hedge still provided good wind protection. Towards the end of the trimming, it was a little more difficult to cut the top because there was hops growing there, which had wrapped itself around the hedge. Then I trimmed the edges of the hedge on both sides and cut down a small acacia tree that was growing on the other side of the hedge. Then I started cleaning up, and the wind got stronger, and then it started to rain, so I had to hurry because the rain was getting heavier. After collecting everything in a bag on the other side of the hedge, I started cleaning up the inside, using a pitchfork to rake everything into a pile and immediately transfer it to the trailer. Then I used a backpack blower to blow everything into a pile, and then collected the remains in a green bag. After that, I also cleaned up everything near the trailer and blew it again. This work took me 3 hours and filled almost the entire trailer.
