Noor Karna, a Computer Science Engineering student at Chitkara University from Punjab, shares a poignant narrative about the internal cost of being "strong by responsibility" rather than choice. She describes a strong mindset not as physical power, but as the persistence to fulfill dreams despite the "weight" of family expectations and personal sacrifices. Her journey includes overcoming an academic downfall in 8th grade and the emotional exhaustion of meeting high external expectations, such as the pressure to become an IAS officer. Noor admits to wearing a "cheerful face mask" to hide her internal storms while excelling as a "Jack of all trades" in dance, chess, and student leadership. She defines maturity as "childhood leaving early" because she often had to prioritize emotional stability over her own needs. Ultimately, Noor’s talk focuses on authenticity and self-renovation. She shares how she eventually made peace with herself, realizing she no longer had to maintain a facade of constant strength. By revealing a blank piece of paper, she carried as a safety net for her speech, she demonstrates her newfound confidence and encourages others to embrace the evolving versions of themselves.
