2018 Amazing Lion Dance with Benches Routine - USDLDF Boston and Imperial Team Championships Event

Featuring two high energy lion dance performances, where they both make use of benches as part of their routine in-order to reach the flower goals. Boston was chosen as the first city to host such an event on different styles of dance in 2018. During the red bench routine, we have a lion with deep & vivid fuchsia pink colors that must go through a series of them to get the flower placed underneath a chair. The setup is also creatively shaped like a boat ship vessel with rope and rowing oars for the lion. Then turning around to obtain a piece of catching net material. Followed by the next team that includes brown wooden benches, designed like a playground obstacle course for the lion to move through. For this one, reaching the end - involves pushing the bar lever to reveal and obtain the red flower item. Performed by Nam Pai Kung Fu Academy of Boston in Chinatown - and Imperial Lion Dance Team from Worcester MA (located in a city west of Boston). Event on May 26, 2018 Boston is considered one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the arts and culture - with beautiful spaces including the public garden and the commons. As well as historic sites such as Haymarket near the Freedom trail and Beacon hill with the peaceful cobblestone street neighborhoods. Not too far away is Chinatown with the city’s active lion dance community there.
