This video meditates on Genesis chapter 23, revealing why Abraham did not purchase land to live on, but deliberately paid the full price to secure a family burial place. The death of Sarah is not merely a personal loss, but a profound testimony of how God’s covenant is engraved into future generations. Abraham did not live for land ownership. He lived looking toward the Kingdom of Christ that God Himself would establish. For this reason, he refused to acquire land for life, yet insisted on paying the full price for the cave of Machpelah as a burial site. That tomb became a confession: “This land is not our final home.” It also became an educational marker, declaring, “You must return according to the covenant.” Jacob’s burial, Joseph’s final request, and the carrying of Joseph’s bones during the Exodus all testify that Israel did not move for land, but for the fulfillment of God’s covenant. May this passage lead us to examine what we live for, what we hope for, and what cost we are willing to pay for the Kingdom of God. 📖 Scripture: Genesis 23 🎧 Meditation & narration 📚 Genesis Meditation Playlist 👉 • Genesis Bible Study Series
