For my second October video, I cover what exactly a "given" or "rule" is in a lifter's training. Ultimately this all boils down to keeping track of programming similarities and recognizing trends in performance on paper. But specifically here, I discuss a case study from a shorter term lifter of mine who we've seen awesome results in with relying on prior training data and recognizing what a "given" is in their training and how that may influence top end strength. Givens, rules, requirements, etc. in a lifter's training are really here to serve as stable grounds for consistency and reliability within our ability to recognize what works. For example, maybe a given for someone means touching X number on X day of the week in order to feel/move at their best on the following primary session. I cover all of that and more in this video.
