Real Book Drumming is a YouTube series of mine in which I transcribe and play choruses of songs from the Real Book, the bible for all jazz players. In this video, it's the complete song "Linus And Lucy" from the 1964 album "Jazz Impressions of A Boy Named Charlie Brown" by pianist Vince Guaraldi, with Jerry Granelli on drums. Named after the fictional siblings Linus and Lucy, the song is a popular jazz standard heard in many Peanuts cartoons. "Linus and Lucy" gained the most notoriety as part of "A Charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack" in 1965. As with my other drum covers, I try to stay as original as possible to the studio recording in terms of playing.
