In this session, we reflected on a searching truth from Romans chapter 6. While grace frees us from the punishment of sin, it does not give us permission to continue living in it. Apostle Paul makes it clear that our obedience reveals who truly rules our lives. Dr. Babu explained that every believer lives under one of two masters. We either submit ourselves to sin, which leads to slavery and death, or we submit ourselves to Christ, which leads to righteousness and life. Grace gives us freedom, but it also calls us to responsibility. 👉 Highlights from this session: Grace and obedience. Grace does not encourage sin. It empowers believers to say no to it. Slavery versus freedom. Sin promises pleasure but produces bondage and death. Obedience to Christ brings freedom and life. Who is your master. The one we obey consistently is the one we truly serve. A changed relationship. Believers are no longer bound to Adam and sin but are united with Christ under grace. Serious commitment. Many believers once pursued sin aggressively but follow Christ casually. Paul calls for wholehearted obedience. Human cooperation and divine grace. Sanctification involves both God’s power and our willing response. 📖 “But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.” Romans 6 verse 17 This session reminds us that Christian freedom is not the freedom to do anything we want. It is the freedom to choose righteousness. When we obey Christ, we experience true freedom, lasting joy, and a life that leads toward holiness and eternal life.
