The muscle up... coming up with more iconic and popular bodyweight movement would be a huge challenge, as its exactly this excercise that got so many people start their training journey - including myself. It has a special place in my heart, however - when i saw the #muscleupchallenge initiated by James from Shredded Sports Science I had to look at it more objectively. The main purpose of my analysis was to link all the benefits and risks it provides - and acces if this excercise is a good choice - for an average gym goer. The seemingly easy job suprisingly became a challenge, as the muscle up has many different forms and versions - where each one of them has different advantages and drawbacks, and potential risk. After two weeks of researching, recording and editing - these 16 minutes are the essence of my work. These kinds of videos are very taxing - they do take lots of effort on many surfaces. The fact that english is not my mother language make the procces even longer. Thats why Im gonna be very thankful if you decide to give me your feedback and let me know if i should continue with them - they are giving me lots of fun and fulfilment.
