Welcome back to another weekend in my life. This episode is a real and honest look at how I’m learning to protect my peace, stay grounded, and still enjoy my life even when things don’t go as planned. We started the weekend early Friday morning working in the office for my second job, getting a few hours in before heading to my weekly therapy session. Therapy has been such an important part of my growth journey, and it always helps me reset my mindset and release what I’ve been carrying. Of course, no Friday is complete without a Starbucks iced chai and croissant to keep me going. During my 9–5, I had some repetitive tasks, so I caught up on a few movies on Tubi while working. It was one of those calm but productive days, and I was so excited that my hair actually worked with me that morning. I didn’t wrap it the night before, but somehow I still managed a cute high ponytail — not perfect, but definitely cute enough! After work, we made the most of the beautiful weather with a quick thrift trip to find some hidden gems and a relaxing solo lunch outside. I stopped at Five Guys, enjoyed the sunshine, and spent some quiet time reading on my Kindle. These slow, intentional moments are something I’m really prioritizing this year. Saturday was all about rest. I slept in, listened to my body, and gave myself permission to slow down. Later in the day, I waited for a contractor who never showed up, which honestly could have ruined my mood. But instead of letting it take over my weekend, I made the decision to still do everything I had planned. I ran errands, went thrifting, stopped by Lowe’s and Walmart, and stayed committed to enjoying my day. Sunday was cozy and productive. I cleaned and reset my bedroom, shared my thrift finds (including two amazing cardigans), and cooked a simple spaghetti lunch while reflecting on how exhausting it can be to rely on others. I also talked about protecting my mental health, managing expectations, and learning to trust myself more. Later, RJ stopped by to fix my front door lock and surprised me with a dozen roses, which was such a sweet and unexpected moment. I ended the weekend winding down, binge-watching the new season of Cross, and finishing editing this video. This series is about real life, healing, soft moments, growth, and choosing joy one day at a time. If you love realistic lifestyle vlogs, intentional living, cozy routines, therapy journeys, solo dates, thrifting, and everyday life content, you’re in the right place.
