Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways In this video we review the final day of The East Lancashire Railway's Autumn Steam Gala. We start this video at Heywood as we see Andy Booth's Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway A class 52322 running round his train & backing down onto the train. We join 52322 on board for the full length run of the line to Rawtenstall. The weather on the last day of the gala was appalling with rain but happily in the afternoon the rain died off. While on the way we pass at Ramsbottom The Bury Standard 4 Grp's BR Standard 4 Tank 80097 working the diagram which would have newly returned to traffic after overhaul LMS 3f jinity 47298 but with her not fit 80097 had an extra day of operating. As we leave for Rawtenstall we pass the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway 0-6-0 saddle tank 51456 who worked the shuttle service from Bury Bolton Street earlier in the day. We soon arrive at the end of the line at Rawtenstall as we see in the bay The Mid Hants Railway based Mickey Mouse Ivatt 2-6-2 tank 41312 which would work the return working. We head to our only lineside shot of this video at Townsend Fold as we see The Dinmore Manor Locomotive Ltd's 7820 Dinmore Manor passing by heading to Rawtenstall. We join 7820's train for the run to Heywood while on the way we see the largest loco to operate during the gala resident un-rebuilt West Country bulleid pacific 34092 City of Wells hauling the railway's Lancastrian dining train passing through Ramsbottom non-stop. We have another ride with 7820 on the Heywood branch as we head to Bury Bolton Street. On the approach to Bolton Street just like we seen earlier with 52322 the old platform 1 was empty as originally was planned to have John Cameron's A4 60009 Union of South Africa for static display but due to tight radius curves it was impossible after it was discovered on the Saturday evening. We end this video at Bury Bolton Street as 7820 Dinmore Manor was uncoupled from the train & 34092 City of Wells who had finished working the dining train backed down & departed with the last northbound train of the gala to Rawtenstall. We end with 7820 Dinmore Manor shunting the dining train as 7820 reverses out of the station to the carriage sidings. Thanks for reading enjoy the video. #EastLancsAutumnSteamGala
