Jonathan White spoke candidly about his transformation from a controlling boss who lost five great employees, to a servant leader whose focus is on empowering his team. The shift in his mentality came when he stopped asking, “How can I get more out of my people?” and started asking, “How can I give more to them?” His shift from control to care led to a 63% increase in revenue, while also building a culture of investment in each other’s growth. White, classics and history double major at Holy Cross from the Class of 1996, is an attorney with 25+ years guiding clients through estate planning, probate, and real estate matters, recognized by Boston Magazine as a Top Lawyer for Trusts & Estates. He previously served as a Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General and practiced as a litigator before moving into real estate conveyancing for buyers, sellers, and lenders, becoming a go-to for resolving title and probate issues and ultimately focusing on proactive, comprehensive estate planning. He chairs MCLE programs on real estate closings, ethics and estate planning, AI tools, and family dynamics, and presents at REBA’s bi-annual meetings. CrossTalks are offered by the Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society at the College of the Holy Cross. Interested in speaking at the next CrossTalks event?
