The writing slope featuring superb brass straps and brass bindings to the corners with a brass top and key escutcheon.The box features a side drawer that runs the length of the box that works of a locking pin to the inside and brass military flush handles to the sides. Open the box to reveal the green releathered writing slope, nib slope, pen slope, lidded compartment and a Sheffield plated inkwell and pounce pot in superb condition. The back of the inside lid features the original stationary rack and reading lectern. Underneath the writing surface is four secret drawers and another square secret compartment. The key is just for decoration and unfortunately doesn’t work the lock. Superb condition and quality measuring 51 x 27 and stands 17.5cm high.
