Blowin' In The Wind (Part 2)

Three mics. The bass drum is tuned low side of medium/low and there's nothing inside it. There's no port in the resonate head either. I'm using a 95g Flexbeater by Dynamic Beaters and a 2000's Yamaha Flying Dragon single pedal. None of the drums have any dampening. There's a lot of 'slap' from the bass drum head when there's no support behind the head ie. A pillow so it forces you to try and pull the notes out. These drums sing! That's the way I like it but again, depending on the texture you're after, it can be more difficult to pull out clean sounding faster notes. It can sound a bit like porridge.
