Day 3 starts at Te Rereatukahia Hut, I struggle with a decision about whether complete the entire Kaimai Ranges as I pass along Old North-South Track, (Kaimai Hunting), Wahine Rock, Cashmore Clearing, Pahiko Trig, Pylon Peak Track junction, Waipapa Track, Waitawheta Hut, Daly's Clearing Track where common sense prevails and I overnight in Daly's Clearing Hut. I share some pretty personal stuff, talk about track markers at night, encounter deer, show you the Pahiko Trig, express my feelings about the long haul between Cashmore Clearing and Waipapa Track, showcase historic relics at Waitawheta, check out a mystry campsite and give you a full run down at the end about my decision making process.
