RACE REPORT, 2026 DISTRICT 36 Rnd.1, Prairie City GP. P2 in A Senior. My get back to racing goals are simple: -Have Fun racing & camping with everyone. -Stay Healthy/Get Stronger. -Be Consistent. -Improve My Skills. -Battle for some podiums. -Don't blow up KatieEm 2.0 (188 hrs on her) We're off to a good start!!!! @wudgiedub and I had a blast with friends new and old, and getting back into our race weekend groove! COURSE: Beautiful day in high 40's, w/ a little fog. But it was slick as...clay snot covered river rocks on a lot of the course. Much of it was prime though; no dust, some sand whoops, some MX track, some rocks/obstacles. Great job @polkadots1x!!! LAP 1: I dig the Le Mans start. Good sprint to the bike, 4th off the line. (A-Vet & A-Senior on same row, about 20 of us?). Battled top 3 for a few miles, got the lead for a moment but blew a slippery corner. (Unsure if I was battling vets or seniors). Settled in and rode a solid lap. Scoring was blank. Thought I was 3rd, apparently I was 1st in class. LAP 2: Goggles fogged bad. Really slowed me down. Lost a few spots. Fast B kids started catching me. Stayed aware and out of their way. Scoring blank. LAP 3: Solid lap, but had a flame out on a 4x4 obstacle. And blew out a sand berm and low sided. Nothing terrible. Scoring said 4th. LAP 4: Felt good. Put my head down, having a good lap, then had a scary high side. One of those slow motion ones, you're flying through the air looking watching your bike crash. Super lucky and landed on a sloped grassy area, was totally fine (only saw a few few stars), Bike was good. Only lost about 90 seconds or so. Finished 3rd according to Scoring. But scoring was off, with numerous penalties. One dude had an 11 min lap (pros were around 25 min), another had a 25 min lap. After scoring corrections I was 2nd! Super stoked to be on the podium to kick of off the season! Not cocky though, lots of fast guys in A-Senior, and tracks I suck at. Sticking to my goals. Thanks for the pics @abcdefghijudy!
