Riverside Wild Camping at Tremayne Quay in Cornwall

Dave and I met up with Brett and Chantel, Kalba and Xiaoxiao from the channel "Kalba Adventure Dog" for a Cornish wild camp alongside the Helford River in the deep, dark South West of Kernow! We had a nice walk through Tremayne Woods until we arrived at Tremayne Quay. This land is owned by the National Trust who have kindly provided space for permitted wild camping, along with a couple of fire pits right on the Quay overlooking the river! A fire is always a welcome addition but rarely safe or permitted. I was really eager to get cooking for the first time with my new Trangia 27 alcohol stove kit and was really pleased with the result. It was great to get "real food" into my face while camping instead of the usual dehydrated nonsense that I never really enjoy. It got dark very suddenly and was too dark to record, so we sat by the fire and chatted into the night before retiring to our tents. In the morning my camera battery died so very little recording of the next day, but we simply packed off and headed out.
