Rail Miscellany at Carlisle and Gretna: Class 37s, Track Machines, RHTT 30 Nov - 02 Dec 22 Filmed over three days at Gretna and at Carlisle station. We have a Class 37 passing through Gretna Green station, heading from Derby to Kilmarnock on a shunting assignment there. At Springfield an assortment of Pendolinos and TPE Class 397s on Anglo-Scottish services plus the afternoon Departmental freight to Edinburgh's Millerhill yard. On Citadel station we see the DRS Thunderbird arrive after a jaunt to Edinburgh, the regular Departmental trains heading to Crewe Basford Hall Sorting Sidings, the Rail Head Treatment Train and the arrival of a Point & Crossing Tamper for use at Petterill Bridge in the coming days.Keeping to the Departmental theme, the DB Cargo train was maid up of a pair of RailVacs - I don't recall having seen these beasts before. Of course we have the 'logs' heading to Chirk and a run of the Dalston tanks heading for Carlisle Yard, to pick up the rest of its train, and then to Grangemouth.
