Battlefield 6 Escalation Contaminated – Shotgun Challenge, Broken Balance & Long Range Chaos

In today’s Battlefield 6 gameplay on my channel The General Mattis, we jump back into Escalation on the new Contaminated map. This time the goal is simple but also ridiculous: complete the shotgun kill challenge. What sounds like a close-range grind quickly turns into something completely absurd, because the weapon balance in Battlefield 6 makes absolutely no sense right now. We spend almost the entire round playing with the shotgun and, surprisingly, dominate large parts of the match. Even in open areas of the map where a shotgun should be useless, we manage to take down enemies at distances that simply should not be possible. The gunplay feels completely random, and instead of having clear strengths and weaknesses, weapons in Battlefield 6 often feel like a lottery. The shotgun especially has almost no real downside, which leads to chaotic and unrealistic fights across the battlefield. Despite playing aggressively and pushing objectives, the match still highlights the typical problems of Battlefield 6: inconsistent balance, unpredictable gameplay, and systems that often feel unfinished. Even though we finish as one of the better players in our team, the experience once again shows how broken some core mechanics currently are.
