Welcome back to the channel, this is The General Mattis and today we are playing Escalation on the brand new Season 2 map Contaminated in Battlefield 6. This match started with a rare moment of luck because we actually managed to get the Little Bird helicopter right at the beginning of the round. Normally this is almost impossible since everyone is trying to grab it, but for once we were fast enough. Unfortunately, that excitement lasted only a few seconds. The moment we lifted off, the missile warning started screaming and within seconds we were destroyed. This perfectly shows the current flying experience in Battlefield 6. There is almost no chance to survive in the air because you are constantly hunted by rockets from every direction. After that, we tried to focus on vehicles again because that is still the only fun left in this game for me. However, this map is another disaster for vehicle gameplay. Most of the map is full of cover, bushes, rocks, and tight areas where infantry players can hide everywhere. Vehicles are extremely vulnerable, and the balance between infantry and vehicles is completely broken. We decided to switch to the Anti Air vehicle because in theory this should be the counter to helicopters and aircraft. Our idea was to control the map and maybe even lock down enemy spawns, since the map design actually allows this kind of gameplay. But once again Battlefield 6 proved how broken the systems are. The Anti Air is so weak that we were forced to run away from enemies instead of fighting them. It barely deals damage to air targets and is even worse against infantry. At some point it feels like the vehicle exists only for decoration. Instead of controlling the battlefield, we ended up being hunted and destroyed again. This is exactly why so many players avoid the Anti Air completely and prefer using other vehicles or even infantry weapons to deal with air threats. We also tried flying again later in the match, hoping for a better result. But the outcome was the same. The moment we took off, rockets appeared out of nowhere and the helicopter was gone within seconds. There is no real counterplay, no balance, and no opportunity to improve your flying skills because survival depends purely on luck. This gameplay really shows the biggest problems of Battlefield 6 right now. Vehicles are supposed to be a core part of the Battlefield experience, but instead they feel weak, frustrating, and unrewarding. The new Season 2 map looks good visually, but from a gameplay perspective it is another step in the wrong direction. If nothing changes, vehicle players will continue to leave the game and the overall Battlefield identity will disappear even further.
