Battlefield 6 Conquest & TDM – Vehicle Fail, Pistol Challenges & Frustration

Welcome back to The General Mattis. In today’s Battlefield 6 gameplay we start with Conquest on Blackwell Field, because as always we want to focus on vehicle gameplay. Unfortunately, just like in many recent matches, getting a vehicle turns into pure luck. The entire system feels like a lottery. Even when we finally manage to get one, the experience is short-lived because our team does not support us at all. Instead of working together, we are left alone and quickly destroyed by multiple enemies. This again highlights one of the biggest problems in Battlefield 6 right now: lack of teamwork and poor vehicle balance. After that, we decide to focus on challenges instead. This time we need pistol kills, which sounds simple at first but quickly turns into a frustrating experience. There is no dedicated mode for this type of challenge. Instead, you are forced to play regular modes where everyone uses heavy weapons, vehicles and strong loadouts. It feels like bringing a pistol to a tank fight. The game design makes it unnecessarily difficult and often dependent on luck instead of skill. So we switch to Team Deathmatch hoping for better results. However, this mode also shows its weaknesses. The map is based on a Firestorm area, but it is simply too large for the number of players. Most of the time we spend running around looking for enemies instead of actually fighting. When we finally find someone, we still need to eliminate them using only a pistol while they are fully equipped. The pacing feels slow, the gameplay is inconsistent, and the overall experience becomes more frustrating than fun. It is ironic how poorly these challenges are designed and how little thought seems to have gone into the player experience. During the match, we also notice that more and more players are using thermal or FLIR optics on their weapons. This slowly creates a new meta that could become a serious problem for the game. Visibility, balance and fairness are all affected, and it feels like Battlefield 6 is moving further away from what made the franchise great in the past. By the end of the session, we even start talking about switching to other games like Delta Force, because Battlefield 6 currently struggles to deliver a satisfying and rewarding experience.
