If you’ve lost your registered PRESTO card – and it can happen to the best of us – we’ve got lots of ways for you to get a replacement. Watch the video and choose the method that works best for you. To get more details about how to report a lost card, check out https://www.prestocard.ca/en/about/re... Here’s the step-by-step of how to report a lost card: 1. Go to prestocard.ca and sign-in to your account. 2. Click on the card you lost. 3. Click on ‘Report Lost Card.’ 4. Choose the option that works for you: a) Option 1 - Cancel your lost card and transfer your balance and details to another card in your account. b) Option 2 - Cancel your lost card and transfer your balance to a card that’s not attached to any PRESTO account. c) Option 3 - Cancel your card and buy a new one online. The new card will arrive with all of your details and balance on it. d) Option 4 - Cancel your card and complete a transfer later. Don’t worry, once you cancel your card your balance is protected, and your lost card cannot be used by anyone. 5. Review your info, agree to the terms and conditions and confirm the transfer. 6. Wait 4-7 hours and tap your card on any PRESTO device to update the replacement card. 7. Your online information will be updated after you tap your card. Remember: • You can only transfer your balance and details to another adult-fare card or the same fare type as the card you lost. • The replacement card can’t have a transit pass from the same Transit Agency as your lost card. • GO Default trips don’t transfer over.
