Heathrow Express Train Fleet/Rolling Stock. Heathrow Express (also including Heathrow Connect until 2018) is a train operating company in London operating services to Heathrow Airport. Heathrow Express operates a service every 15 minutes from London Paddington along the Great Western Main Line to Heathrow Airport (Heathrow Central Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 5). Until 2018 when TFL took over the Terminal 4 stopping service Heathrow Express also partly operated the slower all stations Heathrow Connect service from London Paddington to Heathrow Terminal 4 which is now part of the Elizabeth Line. The Heathrow Express train fleet currently consists of just 1 single class of train which operates all services for this operator. Heathrow Express operates 12 4 carriage class 387 Electrostar trains which usually operate in pairs to form 8 carriage services. These trains were previously operated by GWR and have received new interiors for Heathrow Express including more luggage racks and a first/business class section of seating. Seating is 2+2 in standard and 2+1 in first class. In the past Heathrow Express operated 4 and 5 carriage class 332 trains. These were all replaced in 2020 with the class 387. Until 2018 Express also operated 5 5 carriage class 360 Desiro trains which operated on the slower Heathrow Connect service which was jointly operated by GWR and Heathrow Airport with Heathrow Express providing the rolling stock. The train fleet information is correct as of October 2023 and future train fleet dates are based for the planned introduction for passenger services.
