Today's video is a strength workout for skiing injury prevention! It's ski injury prevention plyometric exercises and full body strength training for skiing. It's super important for skiers to have well rounded strength, especially joint strength for the impact of skiing and unpredictability. I make sure to do a lot of plyos come ski season, as they are one of the best ways to build up structural tissue and work on force absorption. Those who can absorb force better will be more able to overcome and withstand the impact and brutal nature of skiing. Then we move into full body strength training, working on a lot of stability and unilateral training. We need to be strong in certain positions for skiing and overcoming and withstand certain forces trying to move us around. So much of these exercises work on the stability strength element while building strength and structural tissue up. Enjoy!
