I'll review this Inflight 200 Air India A310 in 10 categories. It comes with Inflight’s standard box packaging. To me, it’s a bit boring and not very good looking. The model is well protected by foams. I'll give a 7. This model comes with magnetic land gear and a display stand. The plane looks very good on the stand. The gear door covers fit the holes perfectly. I’ll give a 9. This Inflight mould has captured the look of an A310 very well. The wingtip fences are very detailed and are very well made. The nose and the vertical stabilizer are very finely shaped. When we compare it with Gemini’s TAP, you can see the fin attachment here on TAP comes with the correct shape and size whereas Air India’s is made too narrow and thin. But its vertical stabilizer is made closer to the real thing than TAP’s. The two heads look very similar. I’ll give an 8. This pair of GE CF6 engines has see-through cores. But surprisingly, the fan cannot spin. And the fan blades are unnecessarily connected by two very tiny make-up inner rims. It absolutely ruins the look and makes it inferior to the very realistic TAP engines. I give a 6 only. The build of this model is very good. All angles and positions are correct. I think the tiny gap at the wing attachment is acceptable. Also there’s no gap at the vertical and horizontal stabilizers attachments. I'll give a 9 for build. It's very easy to put on the landing gear. The main gear is especially detailed and can be firmly kept in a tilt position. But you see, the nose gear leg looks a bit weird. It doesn’t look right at all. It looks funny and nonproportional. And it’s made too short. If we put the two models side by side, you’ll see Air India’s head tilts downward. That’s because its nose gear leg is shorter than what it should be. So, I’ll only give a 7. All the major lights and antennas are accurately made. The APU exhaust is exceptionally detailed. The iconic A300 series wings and track fairings are very refined. All the main cabin and cargo doors are finely printed. But the nose gear leg doesn’t have any landing lights. Gemini and Inflight have different methods to recreate this pair of huge air intakes on the belly. TAP’s air intakes look closer to the real thing, while Air India’s are made smaller than what they should be. I’ll give an 8. This Air India gets all the livery’s colours, typeface and positions correct. It correctly applies dark blue instead of the commonly black below the windscreen. I’ll give a 10. The white paint is very shiny here. And the Air India dark red colour looks very sharp. I just dislike the grey paint applied on the flaps. It’s too shiny and therefore looks less realistic than that of TAP’s. I give a 9. This Air India A310 is a very nice looking product. This classic Air India livery is many people’s all time favourite. Demand from the Indian market has been especially strong. Since Inflight would release new editions from time to time, you probably could get one in the retailers again in the near future. I’ll say it is worth an 8 for value. I’ll give this Inflight Air India a total of 81 points in my ARAIG Index. #unboxing #inflight200 #airindia
