2023 Restaurant of the Year: Wild Caraway Restaurant & Café

Today, please join us in congratulating Wild Caraway Restaurant and Café, the recipients of the 2023 Taste of Nova Scotia Award for Restaurant of the Year! This award recognizes a Taste of Nova Scotia restaurant member who delivers an authentic Nova Scotia dining experience, from the locally inspired menu to the atmosphere, and – of course – great Maritime service and hospitality. While tucked away in a remote corner of the province, owners Sarah Griebel and Andrew Aitken have created a must-visit culinary experience in Advocate Harbour. The restaurant experience is fun, relaxed and delicious, with a heavy focus on foraged foods. They’ve built strong relationships with local farmers and fishers, while also sourcing as much food as possible from their own gardens. In addition to a proudly local menu, they also take pride in the memorable service their team provides to each guest that walks through the doors. Warm, welcoming, and authentic, they’ve been a part of summer vacations and special occasions for countless locals and visitors who have chosen to come celebrate with them.
