Happy Independence Day from the sky! Join Maddi and Virgil as we celebrate the 4th of July with a scenic 12 minute repositioning flight in our Piper Comanche from Pensacola International Airport (KPNS) to Roscoe Field (82J). After an unexpected overnight stay at Pensacola International due to runway light issues at 82J, we decided to make the most of it. Instead of heading straight back, we took the scenic route—flying over Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fort Pickens, and the crowded anchorage at Fort McRee, where calm waters and festive boaters lined the coast. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast, a Florida Gulf Coast fan, or just love scenic flying, this short but beautiful flight will give you a pilot's-eye view of some of the most historic and iconic spots along the Emerald Coast. 📍 Route Highlights: KPNS departure on 4th of July Scenic flyover of NAS Pensacola Fort Pickens and Fort McRee from above Calm Gulf waters packed with boats 🎥 Aircraft: 1959 Piper Comanche 250 📍 Airports: Pensacola International (KPNS) ➡️ Roscoe Field (82J) 🛩️ Duration: 12 minutes 👩✈️👨✈️ Pilots: Maddi & Virgil 👉 Don’t forget to Like, Subscribe, and hit the bell for more aviation adventures! 00:00 Takeoff Runway 35 PNS 04:35 Bayou Chico 06:32 Navy Air Station - Pensacola 08:21 Fort Pickens 09:02 Ft McRee 4th of July 10:17 Turning for Roscoe 82J 12:34 Short Final Roscoe
