Here's a little more information for setting up a speedbar. After routing the speedbar lines for the first time you should attach your wing the harness. Lift the risers into flight possision and then adjust the length of the speedbar lines so that there is no tension on the A riser until speedbar is pushed. You do not want the wing accelerated until you purposely push the speedbar. When properly set up the speedbar will be up against the harness with a slight amount of slack and when fully extended (legs outstretched) the pulleys on the A risers will be pulled together (block to block). Be sure both lines going to the speedbar are of equal length. You certainly wouldn't want a wing that has one side accelerated when launching. All wings respond differently to the use of speedbar, so practice using your new speedbar with plenty of altitude and read the wing manual. Several things to know is that in accelerated flight the wing is more prone to collapse and when accelerated lift will be reduced, so more throttle is usually needed to maintain altitude. You can also use the speedbar to adjust for heading, wind drift and torque by pushing one side of the speedbar.
