In the iron-rimmed valley of Gallow’s Reach, the Cursed Daimyo had replaced the sun with a pulsing, necrotic orb of green fire. The villagers were no longer human; they were "Soul-Fuel," drained daily to keep the Daimyo’s fortress floating above the clouds. Then came Kano, the Abyss-Walker. Kano didn't carry a sheath. His katana, Kuro-Taiyo (The Black Sun), lived inside his own right arm, its hilt protruding from a scar of obsidian scales. He was a man who had sold his heartbeat to a forgotten God of the Void to buy the strength to butcher demons. The Siege of the Floating Gate When the Daimyo’s "Gravity-Knights"—warriors in armor heavy enough to crush stone—descended to harvest the village’s children, Kano stepped into the mud. He didn't bow. He didn't speak. He reached into his own forearm and pulled the screeching, black-steel blade from his flesh. Technique: Event Horizon. Kano swung the blade in a wide arc. Instead of cutting metal, the strike created a localized vacuum of gravity. The heavy knights were lifted off their feet, their massive armor imploding inward as the void sucked the air from their lungs. The Shadow-Blight Flash: When the archers fired arrows dipped in demonic rot, Kano blinked. In a flash of violet lightning, he reappeared behind the line, leaving behind "Shadow-Clones" made of solid darkness that exploded upon contact, turning the archers into statues of cold ash. The Heavens Fall Kano ascended the fortress by walking on the very shadows cast by the floating stones. In the throne room, the Daimyo unleashed the Green Flame, a torrent of soul-searing fire. Kano didn't flinch. He used the forbidden Entropy Shield, a barrier of pure nothingness that didn't just block the fire—it deleted it from existence. "Your fire feeds on souls," Kano rasped, his eyes turning into bottomless black pits. "But I am the hunger that eats the fire." He executed the Final Midnight. The blade elongated into a whip of dark energy, lashing out to pierce the necrotic orb. The green sun shattered. Without its power, the floating fortress plummeted. Kano caught the Daimyo mid-air, pinning him to the earth with a strike that severed the villain's shadow from his body, leaving the tyrant a powerless, shivering shell. The Weight of the Void As the green fire died, the villagers’ souls returned to their bodies. They looked to the crater where the fortress had landed, but Kano was already walking toward the horizon. His right arm was now entirely obsidian, the scales creeping toward his chest. He was freeing the world one monster at a time, but with every victory, the Abyss-Walker became a little less man and a little more Abyss.
