TRIP REPORT | Premiere on KLM A330! | Amsterdam to Washington | KLM Airbus A330-300 (+B737)

KLM Trip Report flying from Vienna to Washington onboard one KLM Boeing 737-800W and a KLM Airbus A330-300 on a beautiful autumn day. An interesting trip from Vienna to Washington with KLM. Initially, the trip was booked in economy class, however during the check-in I got a nice offer for upgrading to business class on the first flight. So we flew in business to Amsterdam and in economy to Washington. The flight from Vienna to Amsterdam was uneventful. We departed towards the west and after surrounding Vienna we flew over the Czech Republic and Germany before starting descent to Amsterdam. After a beautiful approach over the Netherlands, we landed on runway 36C. Before getting to our next plane we did some exploration and planespotting at Amsterdam-Schiphol airport. Our Airbus A330-300 was already waiting for us at the gate. We took off and after some turns next to the city, and over the Zandvoort circuit, we set course towards the UK and Ireland. From there we flew towards the south of Greenland. It was fully covered by clouds...but that's the reason why we have our "cloud remove tool" ;P We then flew towards Canada and finally the United States. We overflow Newfoundland and eastern Canada, as well as some of the east coast states of the United States. After a beautiful approach, we landed on-time at Washington-Dulles airport. About the onboard service... I don't know what to say. The business-class catering was on the disappointing side. The one to Washington, while it was tasty, was super-reduced for an 8-hour flight, and it looked really cheap. I think it is as important to provide a quality product as to show that the product has that quality on it. I don't know... I was expecting more, I guess... Now it's your turn!
