Featured media can direct people to learn more Your LinkedIn profile includes a lot of information, but oftentimes you have more to share. The Featured media section is perfect for highlighting your -personal website -social media -curriculum vitae (CV) -faculty profile -a LinkedIn post or article -new publication like a book or article -recent media mention Your featured section will change over time. Highlight what makes the most sense for you right now. Can I include a link to a social media post? Yes. This is a great way to share a social media profile too. For instance, share an introduction post on social media like Twitter. Copy the link to the post, and add it to your Featured section. How 'recent' of a publication does it have to be? It can be your most recent, or most important. Some articles or publications may be better for the Accomplishments Section. Or as a media link on a Work Experience or Education entry. We'll talk more about that soon. What's a media mention? A media mention is any time your name is mentioned in the media. This can include things like -local news media -school newsletters/publications published publicly -tv media -research newsletters/publications published publicly -blog posts where you are quoted or featured -podcast or YouTube appearances, etc. Here's LinkedIn's guide to the Featured section on your profile / featured-section-on-your-profile-faqs This video was recorded in 2021 and is now on YouTube to be accessible to more academics around the world.
