CSX Rumford Turn Job in Fresh Snow + MSS Works the Mill -12/9/24

On December 9, 2024, following a weekend of snow for western Maine, I decided to head out and try to locate L054 as it made it's regular Monday run to Rumford. Upon arriving at Rileys, I would find the train just about ready to leave, so I headed over to the old wye at Canton to wait. I would not be disappointed as there was a decent amount of snow east of Rileys for the crew to contend with, and we would get some nice shots of them busting through the snow as they made their trek toward the mill. Upon arriving at Rumford, I would find Maine Switching Services hard at work down on the warehouse tracks, with LTEX 3011, which is a former Guilford geep. After shooting them for a while, I would chase L054 back to Rileys with a GP38-2 leader. All in all, it made for a nice day on the Rumford end of the branch.
