In this video tutorial, you will learn how to use the Slot connection set in PTC Creo to make a point on a component connect to and follow a 2D or 3D trajectory. A Slot connection has four degrees of freedom. As the reference point follows the trajectory, it is free to rotate in the X, Y, and Z directions. While creating a Slot connection, you need one constraint setting and one Slot Axis setting. The Point Alignment constraint defines the connection between a point and the trajectory the point follows. The point reference can be a datum point or vertex. The trajectory reference can be an edge or curve. You can select multiple segments by pressing CTRL. The Slot Axis defines the start and endpoints of the trajectory.
